Is it possible to use emoji in a Citizen Space activity? 🤔
Overview
Sometimes, customers using Citizen Space ask if it's possible to use emoji in a Citizen Space survey, for example when designing and creating activities targeted at audiences where it's anticipated that they may find images easier or more appealing to engage with than text - young people being a common demographic for this kind of approach. 👧🏼👦🏾
The answer is broadly yes, though it's not something that's officially supported in the software and that means there are some limitations. Firstly, whether the emoji are visible to your respondent will depend on whether they're using a browser that supports emoji. Secondly, please note that the PDF copy of their response that respondents have the option to receive once they submit will not display emoji.
If you're happy to accept these limitations, this survey has been created to show you how emoji would display within different places in the survey. 👍
